Bette Felton, RN, DrPH
Bette is a Principal Investigator for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at California State University East Bay's Concord campus, which provides lifelong learning to adults over 50. She taught nursing and health science and was previously the Dean at the Concord campus. Her scholarship focused on health care workforce preparation. She is also the vineyard manager at Sky Terrace Vineyards.
Patricia Gangwer, MA
Patricia is a retired public school teacher. She is currently a board member of the Read-Aloud Volunteer Program and the Richmond Friends of Recreation. She serves on the Education Committee at the Richmond Art Center and is on the West County Designing Instructional Gardens in Schools steering committee. She is creating a small garden behind the Richmond Plunge. She is married with 2 sons and an old tabby cat.
Mary Lou Lucas
Mary Lou has been a Walnut Creek resident since 1965. She is a volunteer at the CCRMC, a former member of the Mt. Diablo Transcribers, a referee in the State Bar Court and currently a member of the State Bar Mandatory Fee Arbitration group.
Tai Roe, MD, PhD
Tai is the Medical Staff President of CCRMC and Health Centers, and also teaches resident physicians. He graduated from the CCRMC Family Medicine residency program in 2005 and served as its associate program director. He was a primary care physician at the Pittsburg Health Center for over 10 years. He is married with one son and in his free time he enjoys studying math, science and history.
Anna Roth, RN, MS, MPH
Anna is the CEO of CCRMC and Health Centers. A leader in systems redesign, she spearheaded improvement efforts, including the introduction of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's (IHI) Model for Improvement and the Toyota Production System's Lean management system. Ms. Roth is an IHI Quality Improvement Fellow and currently serves as the board Treasurer for America's Essential Hospital Institute. She is the mother of 4.
Kent Sack, MD
Kent was drafted and served as a physician in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was the director of MEDCAP (Medical Civilian Aid Program), worked at the US Naval Hospital, in private practice and at our own CCRMC among others. He was the Governors' appointee to the first state AIDS Task Force. He is currently a volunteer physician and the Board Director at the Berkeley Free Clinic.
Rhonda Smith, MPA, MAED, MAOL
Rhonda has served as the Volunteer Program Coordinator for CCHS since 2011. She manages the countywide volunteer program for CCRMC and 9 health clinics which have over 300 volunteers. She also serves as the Administrative Manager for the Art of Health and Healing Program. She is a very proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Jack and Jill of America, Inc.
William Walker, MD
Bill is the Health Officer for Contra Costa County and the Director of Contra Costa Health Services. He has served CCHS for 40 years, beginning as a staff physician in 1974. He is currently the chair of America's Essential Hospitals, the Association of Bay Area Health Officials and past chair of California Healthcare Safety Net Institute. He is board certified in Family Medicine and maintained a family medical practice even as CCHS Director.
Linda currently serves as the Fundraising Chair and Gift Shop Manager for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. She brings 20 years' experience raising money and planning events for CCRMC and many local non-profit organizations. She also serves as an Ambassador for the Contra Costa and Solano County Food Bank. Linda, a married Martinez resident, is a mother to one son, stepmother to a daughter, and the proud grandparent of two.
CCRHF Fiscal Manager
Ann Moser, MA
Ann serves as the fiscal manager for the Foundation. She has been a free-lance accountant for over 30 years working with nonprofits, corporations and startups. She is currently the Treasurer and a board member of the Mt Diablo Beekeepers Association.
